Helpful Alert resources for WANIC families and students

Flash Alert

School Delay or School Closure Alerts for WANIC students at DigiPen Institute of Technology and Lake Washington Institute of Technology will be communicated through Flash Alert. If a Two Hour Delay is announced, Morning classes are canceled and Afternoon classes are on their regular schedule.

Regardless of district announcements of delays or closures, if it is unsafe to drive in your area, the parent/guardian should contact the WANIC office to excuse the absence: wanic@lwsd.org or 425-739-8400

You will need to enter a Primary email address; you can then Manage your Subscription if you prefer alerts sent through text.

Alerts and notifications are also sent out through ParentSquare and StudentSquare. If an alert is for very specific classes, it may not go through FlashAlert so it is very important to read ParentSquare and StudentSquare notifications.
