Course Expectations: Aerospace Manufacturing Core Plus Located at Liberty High School
Reading Expectations of this class:
Students should be able to read and interpret technical text. Much of the reading is directions for projects and labs.
Writing Expectations of this class:
Students will be required to write daily journal entries and reflect upon labs and projects.
Math Expectations of this class:
Students should be confident and comfortable with application of algebra and geometry concepts to situations in which they are applicable for determining manufacturing constraints and solving for other unknown values.
Science Expectations of this class:
Students study Materials science, which is chemistry applied to materials and applied physics through manufacturing. Students should be comfortable using Algebra 1 concepts.
Homework Expectations of this class:
Students will be expected to finish any class work that was not completed during the class period.
To be successful in this class, the student should be prepared to:
Act like an employee or a professional and are expected to be on-time and present daily. Actively participate to assure that maximum learning and productivity is achieved. This program includes numerous hands-on activities which can be attained only by being in attendance. Applying and practicing skills are critical to demonstrating competency. Social interaction is an element of success. Students will work in teams and collaborate with classmates.
