Full Year Courses

1. Learn details about the full year course that interests you including the times and locations. Classes are designed for 11th and 12th grade students. Please note courses, descriptions, locations and times are subject to change. If you attend private school or home school, for funding and reporting purposes you must register with your local, public high school (Inform the high school registrar that you are applying to WANIC).

2. If you wish to apply for a Skill Center class that is located in a high school in your home school district, please consult with your counselor for your district's application procedure; you do not apply through WANIC. This does not apply to Lake Washington SD students who must use the WANIC application to apply for any Skill Center program.

• Bellevue SD students applying to Skill Center programs at Bellevue HS, Interlake HS, Newport HS or Sammamish HS should contact their counselor for In-District Skill Center application process.
• Issaquah SD students applying to Sports Medicine at Issaquah HS should contact their counselor for In-District Skill Center application process.
• Northshore SD students applying to Skill Center programs at Bothell HS or Woodinville HS should contact their counselor for In-District Skill Center application process. 
• Riverview SD students applying to the Skill Center program at Cedarcrest HS should contact their counselor for how to apply to the class.

3.  All first year DigiPen applicants must attend one of the DigiPen Information Sessions. THESE ARE BEING CONDUCTED THROUGH ZOOM. Please RSVP for the Information Session here. Contact email wanic@digipen.edu. 

4. Your counselor may request to meet with you to review credits so that you can obtain your school’s approval to enroll at WANIC.

5. Teams supporting students with a formal IEP or 504 who have been accommodated with strategies outside those listed here including modified curriculum/grading must meet with Barb Beck before the enrollment process can be completed.

6. Applications received before March 31 receive priority.

7. Students will not be enrolled before the priority enrollment date. 

8. Once your enrollment has been confirmed by the district offering the skill center course you will be attending, you will receive a confirmation email. These confirmations will be emailed after the priority enrollment date of 4/15/2025. • February 4 (9:00 AM) - March 31 (3:00 PM): Full Year Priority Application Window. Applications accepted online (not first come, first served). No students are ACCEPTED in WANIC programs during the Priority Application Window.
• March 31 (3:00 PM): Applications to most programs close.
• April 1 - April 15: Sending School Processing finalization (no new applications accepted).
• Late April: Lottery Period (no new applications accepted). WANIC runs seat allocation (lotteries) and ACCEPTS or WAITLISTS students. Emails will be sent beginning regarding the students ACCEPTED or WAITLIST status. This process can take several days. If you do not hear from WANIC before May 2^nd, please email wanic@lwsd.org. • May 22: Last day for Parents/Guardians of students offered seats in WANIC programs at DigiPen or Lake Washington Institute of Technology to register/enroll students in Lake Washington School District Skyward. Students OFFERED/ACCEPTED between May 10 and July 15 will be emailed a LWSD Skyward registration/enrollment deadline date which will be approximately one week after receiving the Acceptance Notification. Students accepted to Skill Center programs located in other districts must meet the registration deadlines provided in the instruction email sent to avoid being placed on a waitlist.
• July 15: WANIC Full Year applications close 3:00 pm. No new applications accepted after this time. 
• By one day prior to the first day of class: WANIC emails all enrolled students with "First Day" instructions.
• Full Year WANIC programs located at DigiPen and Lake Washington Institute of Technology Begins Tuesday after Labor Day. Skill Center programs located in other districts follow the Academic Calendar of that district.
