• Open to students entering 9-12th grade and enrolled in the WANIC consortium: Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Northshore, Riverview, and Snoqualmie Valley School Districts.
• Home school and private school students must register with their local public high school. The students ID number provided by your school district is required information at the time of application.
• No out-of-consortium students will be accepted for Summer Semester. There are no exceptions.
• Students may not apply for a Summer Semester class they have previously completed.

• Apply Online for Summer Semester during the Application Window. WANIC will run lotteries for placement during the Lottery Window (See Summer Timeline)
• Submitting an application is not a guarantee of enrollment.
• WANIC will accept only one application per student. If you have a second program choice, please indicate it on the application.
• WANIC enrolls students conditionally - if the student is determined ineligible by their home school district, the enrollment will be withdrawn.
• Program offerings are subject to change or cancellation.
• Site visits are not required for enrolling in Summer Semester.
• WANIC does not have the staffing to phone applicants and their families regarding registration updates. We communicate using the email addresses provided in the student's application. Add wanic@lwsd.org as a contact to ensure our emails go directly to your inbox.

• Earn 0.5 CTE/Occupational/Career & Technical Education high school credit except where noted otherwise in the class description.
• Grade and credit earned will be posted to the student's official high school transcript and will be calculated in to their high school GPA. This includes rising 9th graders who are enrolled as high school students in a skill center high school course since middle school students are not eligible for skill center enrollment. The grade and credit earned in a skill center class must be listed on the student's high school transcript. This is Washington State policy for all high school classes attempted. 
• If enrolled, student must complete the entire program and satisfy all academic requirements to earn credit for the class. If student withdraws before the first day of class, there is no penalty and the class will not be reflected on the student’s high school transcript. If student begins the class and then withdraws before the end of day the third day, the class will be listed on the high school transcript with a Withdraw “W” – this will not affect GPA. If student withdraws after that, the class may be listed on the high school transcript with a No Pass “N” indicating student has not earned credit.
• Students who do not complete the required coursework during summer semester will NOT be issued an Incomplete "I" grade. These students will earn either a Withdraw "W" or No Pass "N" depending on the circumstances for not completing the class during the semester.
• College credits are not available for Summer Semester.
